Fraud Policy |
This policy is provided to our members/users to assist in keeping them safe from fraud and misuse.
The HealthCashCard from Philippine Family Health and Dental Plan, Inc. has been designed to be a great way to assist family members back home with their health care needs. The card serves an important purpose for the “loader” as well as the user back home. As such, one must exercise reasonable judgment in using the card. Because the card represents the hard earned money of the loader, the loader and user must be vigilant in considering these things:
1) The card is non transferrable. Attempting to transfer the card/benefits to an unauthorized person will result in loss of membership and forfeiture of all monies in the account.
2) Protect all passwords associated with the account and never share with strangers.
3) Remember to check account periodically to insure all activities are accurate.
4) Never use the money as a money transfer system. It is only intended for health care needs and not a debit card or ATM card.
5) Beware of deals that seem too good to be true.
6) Never load a card for someone you do not know well. You may be putting yourself at risk for fraud.
7) Never send money to pay for taxes or fees on foreign lottery winnings.
8) Never use the card to pay for things like online auction purchases.
9) If someone contacts you claiming to be a representative of Philippine Family Health and Dental Plan, Inc. or HealthCashCard and asking for your password or inviting you to click on a link, don’t do it. Instead, forward any suspicious emails to info@healthcashcard.com.
If you think you have been a victim of fraud, please contact our offices immediately.

Keep your password safe
The following tips can help keep your password secure:
Make your password difficult to guess. Avoid using any part of your name, your birthday, or any words that can easily be associated with you.
Use a combination of letters and numbers, and a mix of lower case and capital letters.
Use multiple passwords for your various accounts to decrease your risk in case one password is compromised.
Avoid writing your password down where they may be compromised.
You can further protect your passwords by making sure that your virus-scanning software is kept up to date, and by running anti-spyware programs. These programs can help protect you from viruses or other malware that could compromise your identity, even though your computer may seem to be working fine.
If you use Microsoft Windows, make sure your Windows updates are enabled to help keep your operating system protected. You can learn more about Microsoft Windows updates at http://www.microsoft.com.
Use extra caution when entering your password on a computer that does not belong to you. Viruses, spyware, or the browser’s settings might be used to compromise your account by recording your user name and password.
