1) What is it exactly? - The PFHDP HealthCashCard gift card is a discount health card produced and offered within the Philippines. The gift card is specifically designed to offer discounts on numerous health care goods and services throughout the country. The card may not be used to transfer money. The card is very affordable to every Filipino both inside and outside the Philippines. Discounts are available within the Philippines at accredited physicians, dentists, optical centers, vision centers, spas, gyms, laboratories and more! It’s a great way for Filipinos to help Filipinos at home in the Philippines or in the province! Anyone can join our plan for $15US (Php420) and immediately save on health care bills!
2) Features - The HealthCashCard is a newly designed health discount gift card that allows OFWs to purchase the gift card for loved ones in the Philippines. The OFW can "load" the gift card with cash using the internet, electronic wiring, prepaid card, or by calling our Makati office. Available soon will be the opportunity to purchase and "load" the card via SMS. After purchasing the card and designating the gift to a family member (PFHDP member), the card is delivered "locked". Upon instruction from the "loader", the card is "unlocked" and ready to use at any of our accredited provider locations. The member presents card at any of our provider locations, obtains the services requested, and the costs for the services are removed from the HealthCashCard! It’s Simple Affordable and Comprehensive!
3) How to buy? - The purchaser goes to healthcashcard.com and accesses our website. The purchaser clicks on the HealthCashCard "BUY" button to obtain the card. The purchaser then inputs basic information to enroll their family member including name, address, telephone number and email address if applicable. All contact information must be accurate. After inputting the purchaser (loader) and beneficiary (member) information, the purchaser decides how much to “load” onto the card. There are four load options. You may load $50, $100, $150, or $200. After deciding how much to load, you may enter that as well. After completing the transaction, the card(s) will be delivered to the intended beneficiary within ten (10) working days. The purchaser is also required to enter a password to insure security of the card. The loaded amount can be as little as $50 US up to $200 US each time it is loaded. (Available also is the ability to load larger amounts when the loader calls our customer service center at 63 2 889 5145 in Makati City, Philippines or by using our EXPRESS LOAD feature). After our Makati office receives the information, a member card with the family member's name, card number, and expiration date is delivered to the recipient in the Philippines. After delivery, the purchaser (or cardholder) is asked to provide the predetermined password in order to "unlock" the card, before the family member can avail of the monetary portion of the card benefits. In addition, in the event you have no credit card or desire not to use a credit card to purchase the HealthCashCard online, you may also purchase a prepaid card similar to a phone load card, scratch off the pin number and password and buy a HealthCashCard or reload an existing HealthCashCard.
One may also buy the card and NOT load it with cash. Whether the card is unloaded or loaded, the discounts still apply! The HealthCashCard is not intended to be, and may not be used as a cash transfer mechanism, nor is it intended to be used as a way to wire money per se. It is only for healthcare products and services at Philippine Family Health and Dental Plan, Inc. provider locations.
4) How does the member/recipient receive the card? - After PFHDP receives the information and payment provided by the loader/purchaser, a membership card is processed and delivered by mail/courier to the family member(cardholder) in the Philippines at the address provided by the loader/purchaser. The membership card is delivered "locked" until the loader/purchaser gives permission to unlock the cards cash value. Please allow two weeks for the card delivery (ten working days). If the recipient is in the Metro Manila area, the delivery may be as fast as 72hrs.
5) How to "unlock" the card? - ?Upon receipt of the card, the family member must contact the loader/purchaser to inform him/her of receipt. The loader/purchaser or beneficiary must then go to our website or contact PFHDP with the correct password and give permission to "unlock" the card. This is done to prevent fraudulent use and protect the loader and member from theft. The loader/purchaser or beneficiary may also contact our office via email, telephone, text and provide the password to our office staff.
6) Expiration - The membership and card is active for one year following purchase. The purchaser and member will receive notification 30 days prior to expiration.
7) How to load the card? - The card may be loaded as often as desired by going to healthcashcard.com and clicking on the “RELOAD” button. The loader will then be asked to enter the HealthCashCard number of his family member as well as the password if a HealthCashCard has already been purchased. If this is a new member or new purchase, the loader must enter the member's information including, name, address, telephone number, and email address if applicable. The loader will also be asked to input a password for security purposes. The loader will then be directed to the payment site where the load amount can be entered. The amount entered is transmitted to PFHDP and the amount is reflected on the card within 24hours if the recipient is already a PFHDP member. If it is a new card, the cash value of the card will not be available until "unlocked" by the loader as described above. Another way to reload the card is by purchasing a prepaid card as described above under
step 5.
8) Where can the card be used? - Philippine Family Health and Dental Plan, Inc. has over 3500 accredited providers located across the Philippines that honor the card and growing daily. The transaction fee of 10Php (similar to an ATM fee) is taken directly from the card when used at any provider location. The member is given instructions when their card is delivered. In addition, all PFHDP providers are located on the healthcashcard.com website. In the event, a cardholder does not have internet access; we will provide them with a printed directory of providers. Please keep in mind that our directory is updated continuously, and the most up to date information will be located on the website.
9) How to reload the card? - The card may be loaded as often as desired by going to healthcashcard.com and clicking on the "Reload" button. The loader will then be asked to enter the HealthCashCard number of his family member as well as the password. The loader will then be directed to the payment site where the reload amount can be entered. The amount entered is transmitted to PFHDP and the amount is reflected upon the card within 24hours. In addition, a card may be reloaded using a prepaid card as described above in step 5.
10) What is the maximum load? The maximum load amount per load is $200. However, the card can be loaded as often as desired. In addition, the single load maximum may be increased to $1000 US through direct communication with the PFHDP office, using the EXPRESS LOAD feature, or by telephone or email. This increased amount must be for a specific and verifiable healthcare purpose. The limits on the amounts loadable are applicable to protect the loader and recipient. In addition, the applicable load fees to be incurred by the loader will be provided before the Express Load has been applied to the card. The load fee is 5% of the loaded amount.
11) What happens to the unused load when a card expires? - The recipient and loader are notified 30 days prior to expiration. If the membership is not renewed by the expiration date, the purchaser must contact our office within thirty days after expiration of the card to receive a check for the cash balance remaining on the card. A check minus a $15 US processing fee will be mailed to the loader. The remaining balance will NOT be mailed to the cardholder/beneficiary unless they are the same as the loader.
12) In case of EMERGENCY, are their options available to load a larger amount or obtain the card faster? - The loader may avail of the Express Load option for a minimum $25 fee up to $300 in case of urgency or emergency. The loader contacts PFHDP by text, telephone or email by clicking the Express Load button. If the loader contacts PFHDP by phone a member service representative will assist the loader in depositing an express load and assisting the recipient/family member with obtaining immediate care. If the loader contacts PFHDP by email, a member service representative will respond within 8hrs and obtain all necessary information including the loader contact information, the member/recipient information and coordinate all appointments, follow up, and notifications to the loader. This EXPRESS LOAD also called CONCIERGE option is available for those who have special circumstances or needs that must be addressed and the loader cannot be there to assist the family member. This feature is only available to existing members. This feature is only available to members who have a verifiable large purchase or fee such as an immediate hospitalization.
13) What are the Costs? -
• New Member-$15(Php420) for One year membership
• Family Membership-$45(Php1800) for One year membership (up to 6 persons living in the same family in the same household)
• Additional member-$10 for each family member over 6 persons
• Load fee- $4 for ($50), $6 for ($100),
$8 for ($150), $10 for ($200).
• Express Load - a minimum $25 fee depending on the Load amount. To be used in case of urgency or emergency
• Renewal- $15 individual membership, $45
